Waiz was founded in 2002 to bring innovative electronic design automation (EDA) tools into South-east Asia. We sell tools to handle the huge sizes of IC design databases that proliferate because of the ability to pack ever increasing amounts of shrinking transistors into the same few square millimetres of silicon real estate.
At Waiz, we understand the investment, the trade-off, and the austerity measures that our clients face in the course of a business life-cycle, and we will work with our clients to maximise their investments in EDA tools.
Besides selling the tools, we are focused on helping our customers reap generously from the use of their tools bought from us, or from other sources, through training, application support, and customised technical services.
We started by distributing for Silicon Canvas, Inc. in 2002, followed Novas, Inc, and SpringSoft, Inc. until 2012 when they were acquired by Synopsys.
Today we distribute for:
- Empyrean Technology, a technology leader in EDA solutions for Analog/Mixed Signal/SoC, Flat Panel and Foundry applications.
- AnaGlobe, Inc., a layout tool specialist with two great products called Thunder and GOLF
- Library Technologies, Inc., a digital cell library and low-power, high-performance circuit specialist
- Simutest, Inc., a digital test programme specialist
We work with not just the tools we sell but also the many other tools that are required to complete the flow.
We have extensive experience and understand the requirements of each phase of the semiconductor life-cycle from design, to implementation, to verification, to fabrication, to test development, and to final test. This enables us to understand and take a holistic view of our clients needs and thus offer solutions which can improve engineering efficiencies in the right places.
